I hold certifications as an Allied Health Instructor, Medical Assistant, Clinical Research Coordinator, Radiographer and Clinical Densitometry Technologist. Annise Mabry

This opportunity has been like a Cinderella story. For many years I struggled with finding a rewarding career. I tried law enforcement, computer graphics design, technical writing, speech writing, presentation development, but these jobs just didn't feel right. Then I decided to take a graduate level English course and I found that I was fascinated with the explaining the study and structure of the English language. This was my true ah-ha moment so I consequently decided to pursue a career as a professional educator.

Mark Whyte

I am a pretty laid back guy, and don't take myself overly serious. There are a few things in life that you should take very seriously, but usually yourself is not one of them...I enjoy helping people to learn and do take that responsibility seriously! I was a college wrestler and broke my neck during a match in 1977. I reside permanently on crutches from that injury. My recovery has been very good considering the extent of my injury. Currently, I teach part time, I was until recently a social worker to senior citizens and the disabled, and I also run my own Export Management Company, where I sell products internationally currently High Performance Lubricants. I especially enjoy the exporting business, although so far my company is a non-profit business…it’s not supposed to be non-profit, but it is so far - if it weren’t so painful, I'd laugh at my own joke.

Leo Kotrodimos

I have taught Business Communication and Advocacy at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. I accepted a position at Duke after I retired in 1997 from my position as Vice President of Curriculum and Academic Affairs at the U.S. Army Management Engineering College, Rock Island, Illinois. Throughout my career I have been involved in management consulting to foreign governments and corporations that have conducted business with the Department of Defense. In this capacity I have traveled extensively around the world and have been privileged to gain insight into the diversity of doing business in a global environment (it also allowed me the opportunity to meditate at some of the finest golf courses in the world!). I enjoy working with the students at SJVC and consider each course a wonderful opportunity to learn something new.

Chris McBride

Chris McBride I have been teaching English courses online for six years. My research interests are composition and American literature. I have just completed a book on American colonial writing that will be published shortly by Routledge. I always have time for reading and I always look forward to the readings that we will do in our online English courses. I enjoy teaching online, and I hope that my students enjoy the experience as well.

Pete Yadavalli

Welcome to the course. My name is Pete. Yes, I am from India, lived here for about ten years. I am a paraplegic because of a robbery (No! I didn't do the robbery). I like teaching college. I believe that my job as an instructor is to help and guide the students, sort of like a mentor. I don't believe in making a course difficult just to show off how smart or tough I am. I know how tough it is being a student, particularly if you are full time or working part-time or juggling family life. I have been all three, at different times. I have a masters degree in science education in Physics from India and later I attended graduate school at the university of Missouri-Rolla. I did some work in laser physics there.

Judy Stevens

I attended Clemson University in South Carolina where I received both my bachelor and masters degrees. I love to travel whenever I can. Last summer, I took a trip to Germany. Walking on the beach and fishing are two activities I enjoy doing. My indoor hobby is trying to find all the branches on my family tree. I can spend hours surfing the Internet looking for clues to my long lost ancestors.

Kim Glover

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida. After completing my BA, I transferred to Saint Leo University where I completed my Masters in Business Administration and where I just recently completed an additional 18 hours in Criminal Justice. I am currently working on my Ph.D. with Union University. I have been developing and teaching online courses for about two years and I really enjoy the opportunity to assist my students in achieving their goals.
